The Microsoft Office Communications successor, Microsoft Lync 2010 showed their platforms in a recent demo of voice over internet protocol (VOIP) for business and other communication services such as instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, application and desktop sharing in New York. Microsoft has been making investments over this new communication solution to create a more powerful access to communicate and share information in the most flexible way.

As the virtual launching of Lync on Wednesday was held, the company presented their unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) to optimize business processes. Lync’s VOIP for business was explained to cost reduction because it is a unified communication and it is beneficial to employees to improve their productivity. This UC&C application makes the team work of the members achievable.

Lync is still on the process of developing the system’s ultimate goal to integrate communication services for business. Microsoft Lync 2010’s VOIP for business will combine other software platforms like Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Exchange in order to make it work. More features will be added to VOIP for business as the company goes along with improvements and enhancements.
