Anti-depressant Drugs Have More Harmful Side Effects than Benefits -Image via Wikipedia
For many years, people know that anti-depressants are drugs are prescribed by doctors to treat patients suffering from depression. Antidepressant drugs like Prozac, and Zoloft are believed to help change the mood of depressed individuals.
A recent study conducted in the University of Manitoba (Um), Canada found out that there are more than 25 percent of people who are taking and prescribed with anti-depressant drugs for no legitimate reason. Many doctors prescribe anti-depressant drugs to their patients with out any valid or approved reason. Their patients end up suffering the side effects of the drugs prescribed.
“We cannot be sure that the risks and side effects of antidepressants are worth the benefit of taking them for people who do not meet criteria for major depression,” according to one of the researchers, Jina, a psychologist and medical student in the University of Manitoba. She feared that there will be more health problems and complications will occur at a higher speed due to physicians carelessly prescribing products to inappropriate patients.
